Palm Kernel Oil Expeller Machine Introduction

Palm Kernel Oil Expeller Working Principle

The working principle of double shaft screw press is through the impelling action which is generated by two intermeshing screws rotating in opposite direction in the chamber, palm kernel is pushed forward. Meanwhile, as the shortening of the helical pitch, the volume of the pressing chamber is shrinking and pressure is generating, and the kernel is compressed that the oil in it is squeezed out. Then, the expressed oil flows out of the gap in the squeezed cage. At the same time, the residue would be pressed into cakes, and constantly discharged from the end of the squeeze shaft.

What is Palm Kernel Oil?

Palm kernel oil is a type of vegetable oil which is high in saturated fat and Omega 6, presenting serious health concerns. It is derived from the palm kernel, grown on the African oil palm tree. Oil palms originated in West Africa. Palm kernel oil is an important part of the oil market in the world, at present, it is more than 30% in the oil production. Oil palm is a kind of agricultural crop of having blossom and fruit in four seasons as well as having harvest all the year round. It will continue to be commercial productive for 25 years.

Nutrient Content of Palm Kernel Oil

Palm kernel oil is also called saturated oil because it contains 50% saturated fat. Fat is consisting of saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, and polyunsaturated fats. The human body consumption of palm kernel oil up to 97%, as the same as all other vegetable oil, palm kernel oil not contains cholesterol.
As higher saturation oil, palm kernel oil was supposed to maybe increase cholesterol in human body serum. But later study of many specialists shows that edible palm kernel oil does not increase cholesterol in serum, on the contrary, have the trend of reducing cholesterol in serum. Because a host of research data shows that different saturated fatty acid has a different influence on blood fat. Palm kernel oil contains rich neutral fatty acid but contains little substance (1%) which promotes cholesterol. Palm kernel oil contains natural vitamin E, tocotrienols(600-1000mg/kg), carotenoid(500-700mg/kg), and linoleic acid(10%),all them are very benefits to the health of human body.
